KentTechSupport is built around a simple idea: friendly, sensible IT help from somebody you can actually get hold of. We work with homes, sole traders and small businesses right across the county.

§ 02 · Our approach

IT support that feels like a sensible chat with a friend who knows computers.

A lot of IT support is harder than it should be. Long hold times, baffling jargon and quotes that leave you no clearer than when you started. We built KentTechSupport to do the opposite: clear advice, fair prices and a local number somebody actually answers.

We help homes with the everyday stuff: slow laptops, Wi-Fi, printers, email, backups, new device setup. We help small businesses across Kent with Microsoft 365, office setups, devices and ongoing support. The same person looks after both, which means no handovers and no excuses.

We are based in Kent and we work in Kent. Most jobs are on-site or remote within a short drive of Ashford, Maidstone, Canterbury, Folkestone or the Medway towns.

§ 04What we will not fix

We do not do everything. Here is what we send elsewhere.

Most IT support places say yes to everything. We would rather be honest about what we are good at, so you get a useful answer faster. If you ask us about any of the below, we will say so and point you at somebody who actually does it well.

  • Televisions and home cinema

    Smart TVs, soundbars, projectors and AV setups. A specialist installer will do a better job than we would.

  • Games consoles

    PlayStation, Xbox, Switch. Not our specialism. Forums and the manufacturer support lines are quicker than we would be.

  • Smart speakers and home automation

    Alexa, Google Home, Hive, Hue, thermostats and the rest. A smart-home installer is the right person.

  • Anything we would have to Google ourselves

    Niche software, very specialist hardware, anything we have not honestly seen before. We will say so on the phone and save you the visit.

  • Large company IT

    Teams of fifty or more, server rooms, on-premise Exchange. Out of scope. A managed service provider with proper out-of-hours rota is who you want.

  • Data recovery from a failed drive

    Where the drive has already died, you need a clean-room data recovery firm. We can help you back up before something fails, and we will recommend somebody if it already has.
